No Show v Show No
I bet several papers are writing a piece for tomorrow highlighting the cost to business of the cold snap, (indeed Surrey County Council for one, should give businesses a year's rates rebate as a token for their complete incompetence), but the cost of absenteeism is insignificant compared to the price of dysfunctional employees which for the most part are all those who are disengaged. Take this opportunity to notice which members of your team made it in and also those who are clearly working (that means doing work) from home - the others aren't necessarily slackers by nature, chances are they haven't been engaged by the company - those who show no interest cost you more than those who just don't show - and 8 times out of 10 that will be the business owners fault.
